Our identity

Greek Evangelical Church has its spiritual roots in the Apostolic Church which Jesus Christ founded and in the Evangelical Reformation of 16th century.

The first Greek Evangelical Church founded in 1858 at Athens. Since then, many other Evangelical Church founded in many cities and villages of our country, and its number increased after the arrival of greek evangelicals refugees from Mikra Asia (West Turkey).

Greek Evangelical Church of Katerini founded in 1923 after population exchange between Greek and Turkeys, by Greek Evangelicals, who came from Greek Evangelical Churches of Pontos.

We use the name "Evangelical", which becomes from the word "Evangelio" -the whole Holy Bible- which constitutes the only order of our life and faith.

We adore God with propriety and godliness, which He deserves and with the simplicity of the first Apostolic Church.
